Notiv is a meeting solution for professionals that uses a powerful combination of industry leading Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technologies, including Speech-to-Text (STT) and Natural Language Processing (NLP), to effortlessly and securely capture actions and transcribe meetings whether it be via phone, computer or in person allowing users to Meet Better™. Users pay a subscription fee of USD29 per month. Notiv was founded in 2018.
Chris Raethke (Co-Founder Bugcrowd) and Dr. Iain McCowan (Founder Dev-Audio, acquired by Biamp Systems) have announced today an AUD1.4 million investment into their latest venture, Notiv, from Transition Level Investments, Full Circle VC and Black Sheep Capital.
“As an investor, when a technical founding team like Chris and Iain team up to disrupt a global problem, you get excited. The cost of inefficient meetings is billions in the US alone, representing an opportunity to drive real innovation not just in Australia, but globally.” said Steve Baxter from Transition Level Investments. Compared to having a personal assistant attend a meeting, Notiv is a powerful combination of technologies that give professionals a secure way to capture, revisit and share meeting insights, ultimately driving better outcomes.
Chris Raethke, after working with customers including Spotify, Salesforce and Tesla in his time at Bugcrowd, teamed up with Dr. Iain McCowan, who brings over 20 years experience researching speech and language technologies for meetings to co-found Notiv in 2018.
“Technology is an enabler, a tool. Great tools can make us more efficient, empowered and creative. I believe technology should allow us to focus more and give us time back in our day,” said Notiv Co-Founder Chris Raethke.
Notiv uses a range of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technologies, including Speech-to-Text (STT) and Natural Language Processing (NLP), to effortlessly and securely capture actions and transcribe meetings whether it be via phone, online or in person.
Since opening up the technology as a private beta, Notiv has already been used in over 1500 meetings across more than 60 companies in Australia and the US. Clients range from freelancers and small professional services firms, through to international technology companies and top tier consulting firms.
“It is a privileged time to be working in this field, solving the age-old problem of inefficient business meetings with technologies that we were only dreaming about in research labs 10 years ago.”, said Notiv Co-Founder Dr. Iain McCowan.
With a growing international customer base, the funding will be used to scale the Notiv solution and expand the team in both Australia and the US.
